The West Loop

The West Loop neighborhood has risen to one of the most desirable neighborhoods to live in Chicago!  Once a pillar of Chicago's manufacturing and packing industries, the West Loop has become a thriving residential community made up of "true-loft" conversions of old warehouse space.  While newer construction abounds, the area has kept it's character intact (and prevented overcrowding) by not growing too much, too quickly.  Of the new residential developments in the West Loop, only one is a high-rise condominium - the Skybridge condo complex located at Halsted & Washington.  Chicagoans move to the West Loop to benefit from an incredibly close proximity to the downtown business district, easy access to expressways and the CTA, all balanced with a relaxed atmosphere.  Only minutes away from Little Italy, River North, Wicker Park and Ukrainian Village - in fact you can get to just about anywhere in the city from the West Loop in just a few minutes if you know your way around!

The West Loop is almost synonymous to many with Greektown, although the West Loop residential community has grown far beyond Halsted St.  The interserction of Halsted and Randolph has developed into a mini-Mecca of fine dining where you can find Italian, French-Fusion, Sushi, and more all within 2 blocks.  The Taste of Randolph Street Festival has become one of the most popular street fests in the city every summer, drawing people from nearby nieghborhoods like Wicker Park, Ukrainian Village, South Loop, and more.

No one can think about Chicago without thinking about the great sports teams that are here.  The West Loop is the home to the Chicago Bulls and the Chicago Blackhawks!  The United Center also is one of the largest venues for concerts in the city of Chicago.  The neighborhoods surrounding the United Center have experienced tremendous development over the last few years, creating even more great neighborhoods for Chicagoans to enjoy!
